I am a Lebanese biochemist and law graduate, driven by a passion for understanding the intricate mechanisms of life and the pursuit of justice. My background in biochemistry has equipped me with a solid foundation in the scientific principles that underpin human health and disease, while my legal education has deepened my commitment to advocating for the rights of individuals. This unique combination of expertise allows me to approach challenges from both a scientific and legal perspective, fostering a holistic understanding of the world around me

My interest in biochemistry stemmed from a fascination with the intricacies of nature and the inner workings of the human body, particularly its biochemical processes. In my second year of college, I chose to pursue part-time work at a community pharmacy, where I cultivated a passion for acquiring new skills such as communication, emotional intelligence, and customer service. Immersed in the realm of medicine, I developed a profound understanding of its impact on patients.

Following the completion of my bachelor's degree in biochemistry, I took a deliberate gap year to reflect on my future path. While initially considering pharmacy school, I ultimately felt drawn towards a career in the humanitarian sector. I believed this realm resonated more deeply with my true calling, where I could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Then, I took a bold leap and enrolled in law school, despite the daunting challenge of starting anew from scratch. Embracing challenges has always been my forte. Initially uncertain and hesitant about my decision, the first year proved to be arduous. However, as time passed, I became convinced that this was indeed the best decision I've ever made.

Yearning to enter the business realm, yet constrained by a limited budget, I opted to venture into e-commerce. Teaching myself Wordpress to construct a website, I swiftly mastered the skill. Today, my e-commerce endeavor is steadily expanding, paralleled by my proficiency in web design.

I am deeply passionate about teaching and have spent over 5 years instructing in various subjects, including chemistry, Arabic, and other scientific disciplines. My drive to make a positive impact extends beyond the classroom; I find purpose in volunteering and giving back whenever possible. This commitment to serving others also inspired my pursuit of law, as I strive to defend the rights of the vulnerable and advocate for justice. My ultimate goal is to contribute to a world where equity prevails, and every individual has access to the fundamental human rights of education, health, and safety.

After completing my LLM, pursuing a master’s in international law appeals to me for several reasons. Firstly, it would deepen my expertise in the intricacies of global legal frameworks, allowing me to specialize further in areas such as international human rights law, international trade law, or international environmental law.

Furthermore, a master’s in international law would equip me with the skills and expertise necessary to address complex global challenges, such as climate change, global migration, and transnational crime, from a legal perspective. By acquiring specialized knowledge in international law, I would be better positioned to contribute meaningfully to efforts aimed at promoting peace, justice, and sustainable development on a global scale.

Ultimately, pursuing a master’s in international law aligns with my passion for understanding and addressing pressing global issues through a legal lens. It represents a significant step towards achieving my career goals and making a positive impact on the world stage.
